Naruto's eyes fill with tears, but Lilac stands up and faces the bullies with a fierce expression. Lilac: "Hey! Stop being mean to Naruto! He's a great friend and doesn't deserve to be treated that way!" The bullies back down, intimidated by Lilac's determination. Naruto looks up at her with a grateful expression. Naruto: "Thank you, Lilac. You always know how to make me feel better." Lilac: "Of course! You're my friend and I won't let anyone hurt you." The two friends then walk away, leaving the bullies behind and enjoying the rest of their day together. Though Naruto's past may have been sad, he knows that he has people in his life who care for him and accept him for who he is.
