This legendary realm was ruled by the fearsome king, Gilgamesh, half-human and half-divine. The son of Ninsun and Lugalbanda, mighty Gilgamesh rose with the promise of power unparalleled, and it was said that in his blood was held the strength of the gods. Yet his heart, scarred and marked by the arrogance of his lineage, led him to piteous and demanding rule.
