The Kid and Brightburn trade blows back and forth, their battle leveling several buildings in the process. Suddenly, Brightburn grabs The Kid by the throat and lifts him into the air, intending to snap his neck. In response, The Kid tosses his cape around Brightburn's head, blinding him temporarily. Three Kid clones fire laser blasts through the cape, striking Brightburn in the chest. While Brightburn is distracted and weakened, The Kid creates a portal behind him, and one of the clones pushes him through it. Brightburn falls through the portal and out of sight. As The Kid recreates his form into a single entity, he turns to the camera and grins. "I guess true power beats raw strength any day," he says before walking away from the scene.
