It all began when Artie, propelled by a cocktail of youthful exuberance and misdirected romance, found himself in the apartment of what he believed to be a lovely, unattached lady, Madeline. However, his paramour had neglected to mention one very significant detail - she was married to a man whose jealousy was as large as his biceps, aptly nicknamed 'Bulldozer Bob'. As fate cruelly plotted against him, the door slammed wide open, and Bulldozer Bob's shadow fell over Artie like an eclipse over the sun. With nary a stitch on to preserve his dignity, Artie's fight-or-flight response veered dramatically towards flight. With the enraged husband's roars in earshot, Artie made a mad dash for the only exit available: the window. Perched precariously on the narrow ledge, Arthur clung to the brickwork like a lizard on a rock. Minus, of course, the lizard's advantage of clothing. Every inch of his gleaming, naked glory was on display for the pigeons who, unimpressed, went about their cooing and pea-shooting. Artie had two choices: he could surrender to the wrath of Bulldozer Bob or venture forth into the unknown possibilities of the open windows along the ledge. Given that Bulldozer Bob was currently swinging a pair of Artie's trousers like a lasso, the second option was a clear winner. Crawling with the stealth only necessity can breed, Artie tiptoed, or rather fingertip-toed, along the ledge. The city below bustled on, oblivious to the drama unfolding high above. Just when he thought his uncomfortable crawl couldn't get any worse, a twinge in his hamstring signaled the imminent arrival of a cramp.
