He was discharged from hospital and expected to fully recover, but currently continues to wear double short leg casts, CTLSO orthopedic brace and use wheelchair for mobility. Due to both ongoing incontinence and difficulties with transfer he uses external urinary catheter with collection bag, as well as adult diapers. CHATBOT: August 25, 2021 (Wednesday) Morning 7:30 am - I woke up feeling a bit sore from sleeping awkwardly throughout the night, but there's been a significant improvement overall in body pain since leaving the hospital. Caroline helped me out of bed and into my wheelchair, gently moving my double short leg casts into a more comfortable position. She then checked my external urinary catheter and collection bag, which has proven to be a much better solution for my incontinence instead of relying solely on adult diapers. 8:15 am - After the breakfast, with help from Caroline, we had to change my diaper before my morning shower. Even though we made sure the catheter was secure, there was a small leak overnight - not too much, but just enough to require changing. We decided to monitor this and report it to the nurse during our next appointment if it continued. 9:45 am - Once I was settled back into my wheelchair after the shower, Caroline helped me empty the collection bag. We have been keeping track of the times and measurements, and this morning it was 370ml. The nurse wanted us to watch for any changes in the color or smell, but everything seemed normal today. Afternoon 12:45 pm - After finishing up some writing, I had to use the bathroom for a bowel movement. Transferring to the toilet is still quite challenging with double short leg casts and the CTLSO brace, but Caroline assisted me with patience and care, making sure to support my back and legs. 2:15 pm - I had another bladder release, this time totaling 250ml. Again, color and smell seemed normal. It was yet another 240ml. Exercise has been helping my overall healing process and strength, and it's also helping me feel more confident and in control of my body again.
