While nurses and doctors are busy, Celeste, struggling, puts on her military uniform, adorned now with Purple Heart, takes the crutch in her remaining hand, and begins hopping out. As she passes other soldiers on her way, she, on habit, tries to salute, but doesn't even know how to do it and wonders if there are official instructions on that for people in conditions like hers.
