Reza tries to help her, but his range of motion is limited by his own injuries. ASLAUG Look at us, trying to be helpful. They chuckle, but their eyes are alit with warmth and desire. As they try to get comfortable, Reza's external catheter slips off. ASLAUG (nudges Reza, smirking) I think you dropped something. Voiceover-as-Reza and Aslaug both begin to overlap, showing their shared feelings. REZA AND ASLAUG (voiceover) It's strange how I've never felt this... connected before. Aslaug, who has attended to his casting off personal equipment, deftly reattaches the catheter with the hand of a practiced woman. Once it's fixed, she moves closer and settles into place. REZA (nods appreciatively) Thanks for that. ASLAUG (gently teasing) No problem, you'd do the same for me, right? Their eyes lock, filled with playful defiance. REZA You know I would, injuries, diapers, and all. ASLAUG (smiles back at him) It's a date. As they embrace, their lips meet for a gentle, tender kiss -- the kind of kiss that tells of deeper longing, but is mindful of their current, fragile state.
