It was challenging and humbling, but I felt like I was making progress. I made sure to schedule my restroom break appropriately, visiting the toilet at 9:45 a.m. before my session started. My next trip to the restroom was at 12:00 p.m., and I was pleased to find that my bladder had held up pretty well. Lunch was light, and I made sure to drink water sparingly, as I know it can increase the frequency and urgency of my trips to the restroom. Before heading to my occupational therapy session at 2:30 p.m., I made another pit stop at the toilet. It was here where I had a minor accident, where I was unable to make it to the restroom in time, resulting in a small leak. I wasn't too disheartened by this, as I understand that accidents are part of my new normal. I changed my incontinence pad and made a mental note to communicate the incident to my doctor during our next appointment, just to keep him informed of my progress. My evening activities were small and simple household tasks, which I carried out with measured breaks in between.
