Instead, we're given this bizarre, amateurish mix of conspiracy theories, random superpowers, and strange, hallucinatory visuals. The show follows Marcel Messier, a supposedly "eccentric" journalist who, for reasons unknown, can swap consciousness with other people for a brief period. This poorly justified ability, as you can imagine, creates more problems than it solves. Marcel careens through encounters with secret societies, murderous secret agents, and his own prophetic mother, all of which cause the narrative to become increasingly impossible to follow. The antagonists, Basil Bends and Percival Gleswick, are bizarrely crafted, cliched caricatures of evil government agents. They shift between being predictably ruthless and painfully buffoonish, all while trying to manipulate Marcel through a cartoonishly fake journalist named Alienor Cuillerier. Nothing about these characters' motivations or relationships makes any semblance of sense, making it almost unbearable to watch them. But it doesn't stop there.
