We need more girls in our class. SAM (smiling) Well, regardless, we'll be nice to whomever joins us, right? JANE Of course! Everyone deserves a warm welcome. SAM (tentatively) Yeah, it's really nice to be here. I'm looking forward to experiencing your Indian culture. ANAHITA (excitedly) Guess what? We're having a big feast tonight with all my favorite Indian dishes. You'll love it, I'm sure! Sam's eyes widen as she tries to hide her uneasiness. She exchanges a quick glance with Jane, hoping to find a way out. JANE (enjoying the moment) That sounds amazing, Anahita! We'd be honored to join your feast. SAM (nervously) Uh, yeah, definitely. I can't wait to try all the food. As Anahita's family continues their preparations, Sam glances at Jane, indicating her discomfort with the situation. SAM (whispering to Jane) I don't like Indian food, Jane. What should I do? I don't want to disappoint Anahita or her family. JANE (whispering back) We'll figure something out, Sam.
