Only a few people know about this, including his flatmates and his half-sister Helen, who implanted the trigger in the first place) Dan jammed his feet into his sneakers and grabbed his bike from the garage, eager to leave the stifling heat of his neighborhood behind. The reservoir, a glistening oasis nestled in the foothills, beckoned him with its cool, clear waters and promise of shade under the tall pines. He mounted his trusty bike and began pedaling up the steep incline towards his destination, relishing the wind in his face and the satisfying burn in his legs. As he reached the top of the hill, he took a deep breath of fresh mountain air and grinned. This is what summer was all about.
