Stella had offered to hypnotize him before his very first shift, and given him suggestions to make him even easier to hypnotize in future, and to forget that it had ever happened. He acts completely normally, except when Stella taps him on the forehead to drop him into a deep trance. One warm day, the cafe was almost empty when one of David's oldest friends, Victoria, popped in to say hello and get a cuppa.
CHATBOT: David couldn't believe his luck when he saw Victoria walk through the door. He hadn't seen her in years, and he had always had a bit of a crush on her. As she approached the counter, David greeted her with a big smile and took her order. Stella noticed the change in David's demeanor immediately and tapped him on the forehead, sending him into a deep trance. He continued to do his job automatically, making Victoria's coffee and chatting with her as if nothing had happened. Victoria was completely unaware that David was under hypnosis, and she couldn't help but notice how different he seemed. He was more confident and charming than ever before. As she sipped her coffee, she found herself getting more and more drawn to him. Stella watched from a distance as the two old friends caught up, knowing that her hypnosis had worked perfectly. David was completely under her control, and she knew that he would do anything to please her. As Victoria finished her coffee and left the cafe, David snapped out of his trance and returned to his normal state. He couldn't remember anything that had happened while he was under hypnosis, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something strange had happened.
