LOCAL PUB - LATER Nadine repeatedly awakens David from his trance and guides him back into it, each time making the trance deeper and more pronounced. They all burst into laughter as David mindlessly obeys Nadine's every command. At one point, she boldly instructs him to kneel before her sweaty feet and give her a foot massage like a devoted servant. Nadine's feet are perfectly pedicured, with a rosy nail polish, contrasting the well-worn shoes from a long day at work. Her friends gasp and laugh, captivated by the sight. INT.
