The shock and discomfort in the room were palpable, and some of the girls even shielded their eyes or turned away completely from the screen. Sonic and Lilac themselves, of course, were mortified. Their faces matched the color of their respective fur as they stared, wide-eyed, at the compromising footage. They glanced at each other uneasily, knowing that this would be a hard one to live down. Despite the initial blushing and embarrassment all around, some of the characters tried to defuse the situation with humor. Knuckles nudged Tails and joked, "Well, at least Sonic's finally showing off those dance moves he's always bragging about!" Tails cracked a smile, doing his best to alleviate the awkward atmosphere that had settled upon the room. Others, like Carol, were more concerned about the source of the video. "Who would do something like this to our friends? I know Sonic and Lilac better than this. Let's track down who's responsible for this and put an end to it!" In the end, the characters agreed that their friends' privacy had been violated by the creation of such a video. Putting their discomfort aside, they decided to band together and find out who was responsible, in order to prevent any further similar incidents. They would continue to support one another as they fought through the embarrassment, knowing that friendships and bonds were strong enough to withstand any obstacle that came their way.
