CHATBOT: INT. PUB - NIGHT A cozy, bustling pub with an ambiance that buzzes with the clinking of glasses and the din of animated conversations. RUTH, an inquisitive 19-year-old with bright eyes, sits at a worn wooden table with LAUREN and VICKY, both in their mid-20s, slightly disheveled and flushed from drinking. The pair are regaling Ruth with tales of her brother, DAVE, from their wilder university days. LAUREN (giggling, slurring slightly) And then there was this time - no kidding - Dave actually got hypnotized... VICKY (interrupting, more tipsy than Lauren) Hypnotized! At a stage show, right. And he didn't even wanna go up! LAUREN (to Vicky) Let me tell it, will ya? Bloody hell, Vicky. (turns to Ruth) So there we were, this stage hypnosis thing, and Dave was all 'No way, not for me, that's a lot of rubbish.' VICKY (nudging Ruth) But the hypnotist starts his thing, right? Aaaand guess who's nodding off like a newborn in the audience? LAUREN (nodding, enthralled in the memory) Dave! It was Dave. He's like, slipping under deeper than anyone. We thought it was a joke at first. RUTH (laughing in disbelief) Dave? My brother? Come on, he's the most sceptical person I know. VICKY (raising her glass) That's what we thought! But there he is, sprawled out in his seat, mouth open, snoring... LAUREN (laughing) And then, you should've seen the hypnotist's face! He spots Dave, right? And picks him out like 'You, sir, clearly need some special attention.' VICKY (grinning wickedly) And, I swear down, the hypnotist didn't even have to try. He just clicked his fingers, and Dave was up, clucking around like a chicken, the whole deal. LAUREN Not just that. The hypnotist had him believing he was a bloody ballet dancer. Dave was pirouetting like he was born in a tutu! RUTH (shaking her head, stifling laughter) No way! That's... that's brilliant. Wait 'til I tell him about this! Ruth glances across the room and spots DAVE, a man in his late 20s with a no-nonsense demeanor, chatting with a GROUP OF FRIENDS. He's far removed from the image of a man mesmerized into performing a pirouette. RUTH (excited, calling out) Dave! Daaave! Get over here! You have to hear this! DAVE looks over, slightly confused, yet curious. He excuses himself from his friends and saunters toward RUTH'S table, a slight swagger in his step, completely unaware of the embarrassing anecdotes awaiting him. DAVE (raising an eyebrow) What's all this then? You three plotting against me? RUTH (grinning) Oh, just learning ...
