How do you do it?" "It takes practice," Stella says with a shrug. "But David trusts me completely, and I would never do anything to harm him. He's in good hands." David eventually snaps out of the trance and is unaware of what just happened. But Victoria can't help but feel a little uneasy about the whole situation and decides to leave shortly after.
