POKEMON CONTEST STADIUM - COMPETITION AREA - DAY The contest starts with various performances from different trainers and their respective Pokemon. ASH and MISTY perform with their Pokemon, captivating the audience. OPPOSITE THE STADIUM - DAY Outside the stadium, the timid BUDDEW is hesitant to join the ongoing contest. It is approached by TEAM ROCKET, who decided to steal the powerful and skilled Pokemon from the contest. They notice the BUDDEW's lack of confidence and attempt to manipulate the Pokemon to join them. JESSIE This contest is for skilled Pokemon only. If you're too timid, you'll never win or become powerful. MEOWTH But if you join us, we can help make you strong and win battles just like these trainers. The BUDDEW, still unsure but desperate to become stronger, decides to join Team Rocket. They immediately celebrate, making plans on how to get other Pokemon using BUDDEW. INT. POKEMON CONTEST STADIUM - DAY As the contest continues, BROCK watches from backstage, growing worried because he doesn't see the Budew. He decides to step out and search. EXT. CONTEST STADIUM - DAY He finds TEAM ROCKET and BUDDEW in the process of stealing several Pokemon from the back of the arena. BUDDEW reluctantly agrees to help, feeling guilty about betraying the other Pokemon. BROCK (angered) Team Rocket, you won't get away with this! BROCK sends out his ONIX to battle TEAM ROCKET. (Scene 1) Aurora (confident, but friendly): Welcome to the Snowbeak Gym! I, Aurora, will be your opponent today. Before we get started, let's review the rules for the Ice-Cold Challenge. (Scene cuts to each of the three ice challenges and briefly outlines the rules) Challenge 1: Ice Bridge Battle - Ash's Pokemon must cross a shaky ice bridge while battling Aurora's Ice-type Pokemon. Challenge 2: Snow Mountain Climbing - Ash's Pokemon must climb a snowy mountain while dodging icy attacks from Aurora's Pokemon. Challenge 3: Avalaunch Attack - Ash must battle Aurora in a 2 vs. 2 Pokemon battle on a slippery ice platform while evading an incoming avalanche. Ash: "Peck attack, Fletchinder!" Fletchinder uses Peck on the now smaller ice bridge, hurling it at Avalugg! Avalugg cannot dodge the speedy ice attack and collapses the bridge with it. (Scene 4) Ice Challenge 3 begins: Ash uses Pikachu and Greninja against Aurora's Glalie and Froslass. Serena: "Let's go, Sylveon! Use Disarming Voice!" Aurora (impressed with Serena's strategy): "Cryogonal, counter with Aurora Beam!" The beams clash as the trainers watch intently. Aurora to Ash & Bonnie while still observing the battle: "I really admire your determination to become Kalos Queen and Delucia."
