Solange is fashionably and sultrily dressed, as if she was guilty and tried to avoid punishment by seducing the authority. As she walks graciously, yet still somewhat clumsily on her crutches, hopping on a prosthesis covering her right leg stump and wearing special cover on her paralyzed and limp left leg stump. As Flavio questions Solange, she appears simultaneously self-assured of her charms yet also frustrated with her condition. He wonders which one of these emotions is a just a fake facade, or whether both of them are.
