Although it hadn't been too long since I'd first arrived on this beautiful planet and begun my new life, the citizens of Avalice were more than kind to me, and I had managed to adapt fairly quickly. As I grew closer to the dance floor, I felt my heart falter for a moment. Everyone seemed so at ease, so carefree, but the truth was, I was terrified. My past weighed heavily on me - a stark contrast to the atmosphere that surrounded me. In an instant, a lavender blur caught the corner of my eye. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I turned to meet its gaze. There she was, the infamous Captain Black Lilac, standing gracefully and confidently in the midst of it all. Unlike the others around her, she seemed just as guarded as I felt, her eyes scanning the crowd with a hidden curiosity. As if sensing my thoughts, her dark, penetrating eyes met mine. For a moment, the world seemed to stand still. She made her way towards me, her braided purple hair cascading down her back, swaying slightly as she took each fluid step. "Would you care to dance?" she whispered, her voice smooth as silk. A sense of vulnerability flashed across her face, revealing a depth of emotion that took me by surprise. Caught off guard, I hesitated for a second before taking her outstretched hand. "Sure, why not?" As we danced to the rhythm of the enchanting music, her rhythmic movements contrasted her guarded countenance. I could tell she was hiding something too. My curiosity only grew as she continued to lead us across the dance floor.
