Britta had heard whispers of it for a while, but she never truly believed it until now. As a fellow study group member, it was her duty to investigate and confirm the rumors so that they could all share in her amazement and joy. Britta's investigation began with simply observing the interactions between Jeff and Annie. As she watched them more closely, she saw that they constantly exchanged glances, small smiles, and shy gestures whenever others were not around. Despite Jeff trying to play it cool and acting like his usual self, Annie always gave into her feelings, and had a slight blush on her cheeks. It was evident that there was chemistry between the two, sizzling beneath the surface. Britta decided to continue her detective work by talking to other study group members, hoping that they would accidentally slip some information. She first tried Shirley, hoping that her motherly instincts might tell her something. "Shirley, I have a feeling Jeff and Annie are dating," she started, watching Shirley's face closely for any signs of shock or surprise. "Oh, that's great. I knew Annie would come around eventually," Shirley replied, not looking up from her book.
