There's a bog nearby that's known for its medicinal properties. If you could gather some of the plants there, it might help soothe her stomach." [player]: "Thank you, old one. I'll go there right away." ([player] runs to the bog and gathers the plants as instructed. They return to the Chiromaw) [player]: "Hey, I got some plants that might help you." ???: (weakly) "Thank you... I don't know what's wrong with me..." ([player] gently feeds the Chiromaw the plants, and after a few moments, the Chiromaw starts to feel better) ???: "Oh, thank you! I feel much better now." [player]: "Glad to hear it. Are you going to be okay?" ???: "Yes, I'll be fine. Thank you for your help. It's not often we encounter kind souls in this dimension." [player]: "Sure thing. And sorry for disturbing your baby earlier." ???: "No worries. Just be careful next time you're around here." ([player] nods and continues on their journey, now more aware of the dangers that lurk in the Betweenlands.)

[player]: "Oh... congratulations?" ???: (weakly smiling) "Thank you... it's just... it's been so long since I've had a hatchling. And I'm not as strong as I used to be. I don't know if I can protect it in this dangerous world." [player]: "Maybe I can help. I've been traveling through different dimensions, and I've come across all kinds of creatures. I could lend a hand." ???: (surprised) "I appreciate the offer, but why would you care about a Chiromaw hatchling?" [player]: "Well, I don't know... it just seemed like the right thing to do." ???: (nodding) "I see... thank you. I will not forget your generosity." (gestures towards the hatchling) "This is my son. You have a beautiful family." ???: "Thank you. I apologize for my earlier hostility. I was just trying to protect my young." [player]: "I understand. I'm just glad everything turned out okay." (The newborn Chiromaws start to scurry around, playfully nipping at each other) [player]: (laughs) "They're so cute!" ???: (smiling) "Yes, they are. What's wrong with her?" [player]: "I'm not sure, but she's in a lot of pain. She said you're the only one who can help her." Chiromaw Father: (growls) "Of course. I'll come with you." Together, they rush back to Lisa and find her laying on the ground, still in agony. Chiromaw Father: "Lisa! What's wrong?" Lisa: "It's the sludge. It's become too much. I can't handle it anymore. The babies, they're coming." Chiromaw Father: "I'll help you. Just focus on your breathing." [player]: "Is there anything I can do to help?" Lisa: "Yes, please. Keep the other Chiromaws away. They can be dangerous, especially with newborns around." [player] nods, and with Lisa's warning in mind, keeps a watchful eye out for any other creatures that might try to interfere. Several hours later, Lisa gives birth to several healthy Chiromaw babies. Lisa: (weakly) "Thank you. Thank you so much." Chiromaw Father: "Rest now, my love. We'll take care of the babies." [player]: "I'm glad I could help. Are you all going to be okay?" Chiromaw Father: "We'll be fine. Thank you for your assistance." [player] nods and quietly slips away, leaving the Chiromaws to rest and recover.

As they trek through the muddy terrain, they encounter all sorts of strange creatures - giant leeches, swamp hags, and even a massive frog-like creature that nearly swallows them whole. But they press on, driven by their desire to help Lisa. Finally, they come across a massive Chiromaw - easily three times the size of a city bus. He has bright green hide and his four eyes glint in the dim light of the swamp. [player]: "Excuse me, sir? Are you Lisa's mate?" Chiromaw: (low growl) "Who's asking?" [player]: "I'm a visitor to this dimension. Lisa is in trouble, and she needs your help." Chiromaw: "Lisa? What's happened?" [player]: "She's in a lot of pain. I think she's about to give birth." Chiromaw: "Oh no...I must go to her at once. Thank you for bringing this to my attention." The massive Chiromaw rushes off towards Lisa, leaving [player] alone in the swamp. After a few tense moments, they hear Lisa's voice - it's weak, but relieved. Lisa: "He's here...he's here..." [player]: (smiling) "I'm glad he made it. Is everything okay now?" Lisa: "Yes...thank you for helping us." [player]: "Of course. I'm just glad I could be of assistance." Lisa: "You may have saved our family today. You'll always be welcome here in the Betweenlands." [player]: "Thank you, Lisa. That means a lot to me." With their mission complete, [player] sets off to explore more of this strange, mysterious world. Though danger lurks around every corner, they can't wait to see what other wonders and terrors the Betweenlands has in store.
