Mindy: (panting heavily) "Vanessa...these are...my children..." Vanessa: "But...how?!" Mindy: "I don't know...something went wrong during the parthenogenesis...it split my genetic material and created these...these..." (Mindy gasped and gave one final push, before a larger, fully-formed creature emerged from her egg sac - a Cave Spider queen, already pregnant and ready to lay more eggs. But as she began to approach, Vanessa felt a strange sensation within her own body - a sudden desire to lay her own eggs and continue her species.) Vanessa: (looking at her sister, then back at the queen) "I...I need to do this too...for us..." Mindy: (weakly) "Do what you have to, Vanessa...just...be careful..." (Vanessa watched as her sister died from her injuries, leaving behind her strange, mutated offspring. But as she began to spin her own cocoon and lay her own eggs, she felt a sense of unease - almost like something was watching her from the shadows.) {END FLASHBACK} Vanessa: (snapping back to reality) "And ever since then, I've been carrying this baby inside me...and I have no idea what it's going to look like." [player]: "Wow...that's...quite a story." Vanessa: "I know it sounds crazy. But...you seem kind enough, and I don't have anywhere else to go. Could I stay here for the night...at least until I give birth?" [player]: "Of course. I'll call off my defenses for now, so you won't be disturbed." Vanessa: (smiling gratefully) "Thank you so much..." (Player goes upstairs to turn off defenses, setting up a small bed for Vanessa to rest on.) [player]: "Rest up, Vanessa. I'll keep watch over you." Vanessa: "Thank you...thank you so much..."
